Membership

Membership in CUISO is on a pay-what-you-will basis.

Suggestion: Membership in CUISO has two components. First, as a co-operative, all member organizations purchase a member share. The share costs $10, and is refundable.

Second, member organizations are asked to make an annual contribution to fund the co-operative’s work. Member organizations can also choose to contribute through the donation of staff time. No organization will be excluded for failing to make annual contributions.

Provisionally, we are suggesting organizations pay a donation equal to $10 for every $10,000 of organizational income. For example, an org with a budget of $50,000, we would ask for an annual contribution of $75. If your organizational budget is $500,000, we would ask for a annual contribution of $500.

Alternatively contributions can be made by contributing staff time, in lou of a financial contribution.

All CUISO members can participate in shaping our advocacy agenda, and attend open workshops and trainings. All members are also entitled to 2 hours of organizationally specific consulting services per year, based on availability. Additional consulting is available at reasonable rates, to be determined.
